Booking an Appointment

The surgery is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm Monday – Friday excluding Monday lunchtimes when we are closed between 12.30pm – 1.30pm. We are not open on Sundays and bank holidays. 

Please remember the surgery is closed between 12.30pm and 1.30pm each Monday.  Telephone lines open at 8.00am and early calling is advised to secure an appointment for that day.

All consultations are by appointment which can be made either by telephone, by calling in at Reception or by booking on-line.

Doctors, Practice Nurses and a Midwife are available according to our timetable – available at Reception and on our website.

Patients can see any GP or nurse, however, you may express a preference for a particular member of our clinical team.  Whilst we will attempt to accommodate you request to see a particular member of the team, we cannot always guarantee that this will be possible. 

Our appointments are split between book on the day and book in advance (approx. 50/50 split depending on availability).  Advance bookings can be made up to 8 weeks ahead.

Booking Appointments Online

We have now changed our Medical Computer System – to EMIS - therefore the previous online system (myvisiononline/Patient Services) will not allow you to access our online services.   The new online service is called ‘Patient Access’. If you have registered for the new system you can click here to make an appointment.

In order for us to activate you for online services, please download the registration form (click here) complete it and bring it to the surgery with proof of identification - valid passport, valid UK Driving Licence or ID Card.  We will also need to see proof of residency in the form of a bank statement, utility or Council Tax bill.

We will then send you the details you need to set up your account.

The Patient Access system will allow you access to:

  • Booking advance appointments  
  • Ordering repeat prescriptions  
  • Elements of your patient summary record which will be extended in April 2016 to include wider access to your medical record online.

Advanced Bookings

Advanced bookings can be made online.  Please ask a member of our Reception Team about how to set up an account. Please note, proof of identification will be required.
