There are lots of medical conditions where it is not necessary to see a GP in the first instance. This may be because the condition is likely to be self-limiting, or there is a Clinician other than a GP better suited to help you. Please read the following information about self-care and self-referral in South Warwickshire. You can be reassured if the Clinician you initially see feels you require a Doctor to further assess you, we will always be able to provide you with an appointment.
For musculo-skeletal problems, (such as joint pain, back pain or arthritis) you can self-refer to see a Physiotherapist by clicking here.
For the majority of mental health problems (including depression and anxiety) talking therapies are the first recommended step. Your GP can help further if you require anti-depressant medication to be prescribed. To arrange talking therapies, please click here.
